Tourers & Tents

We are a small family run park which was started by The Brayshaw Family in 1950.
We cater for Tourers, Tents & Motorhomes. As we are only a small park our plots vary in size so it is important that you let us know the size and length of your caravan including the tow bar.

The park is sheltered and secluded and surrounded by hedges , adding to its charm. Each plot has an electric hook-up point. Also on site we have a laundry block and a children’s playground.

The Park is situated behind our Olde Worlde village Inn, in the centre of the village.

Only 2 miles from the famous National Trust property of Fountains Abbey & the popular Brimham Rocks. Being in the centre of the UK we are on the edge of The Dales and all local attractions – Golf & Racing in Ripon, Castles & Rivers in Knaresborough, fun rides at Lightwater Valley and only 40 minutes from the Ancient Cathedral City of York and The Viking Centre.

Access into the park is best approached from ‘Wormald Green’ on the A61.

Being 7 miles north of Harrogate and 4 miles south of Ripon on the A61 turn west into the village of Markington. We are then 1 mile from here, on entering the village you pass the village Post Office & General Store on the right – then bare left up into the village high street and the pub is on the left.

If approaching from Ripon and the north continue south along the A61 for 4 miles and take the second road to the right at Wormald Green after passing a garage at the top of the hill and just at the bottom of the hill turn right.

We support the village shop and do not have a shop on site. The village shop & post office sells all your needs and is open 8am-5pm everyday except Thursday and Sunday.
